Creating joy...one mosaic at a time
"Creating makes me come alive...as I create, the inner spark is fanned into flame. I love solving design challenges. The designs smolder in the embers of my mind for awhile and when they are ready, they burst into flame and I just follow."
— Amy Bruckner, Piece of Mind Mosaics

DAILY LOCAL NEWS FEATURES AMY BRUCKNER

Chester County's Daily Local News published an article on the Community Music School's 20th anniversary violin project in the April 19 edition: "CMS came up with 20 musical themes and genres and then commissioned for artists in April 2011. The artists gave their top three theme choices, and CMS assigned each..."I wanted Appalachian Spring because I lived down in Virginia at the foot of the mountains and every spring the redbuds and the dogwoods were just incredible down there," said [mosaic artist Amy] Bruckner. Bruckner was the only artist that mosaicked her violin and has been mosaicking for seven years. She used colored glass for her mosaic pieces and the violin took her about five weeks. While she had never mosaicked a violin before, she decided to do more. "After I did that one I thought, I want to do four seasons on violins," said Bruckner. She is working on fall and also has a guitar she plans on mosaicking."
