About the Artist

Amy Bruckner is the creative engine driving Piece of Mind Mosaics. A native of the Philadelphia suburbs, she began her career as a mosaic artist studying under Gina Hubler of Design Impact Studios of Miami. Amy continued honing her skills with award-winning mosaic mural artist Isaiah Zagar, best known for his brilliantly eclectic Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, a modern art installation in Philadelphia's vibrant South Street neighborhood that includes a fully mosaiced indoor gallery and a massive outdoor labyrinthine mosaic sculpture covering half a block, and consisting primarly of found objects and community contributions.

Creating beautiful, original mosaics is what Amy loves to do, and she takes a special interest in integrating the personal imagery of her clients into her works. Amy creates tile art small enough to cover the surface of a violin, large enough to cover a building, and every size in between. She works with classic mosaic tiles, mirror mosaics, and most recently has been practicing a new technique using vitreous glass, a skill she studied with Cynthia Fisher of Big Bang Mosaics in Massachusetts.
